Michael and I have been super busy lately, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Here are a few things that have been keeping us busy.
I had a doctor's appointment last Tuesday. It was just a normal, monthly check up. This was the first appointment that Michael couldn't go to because he had to work. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat again and then I was done. Her heartbeat was at 160. I have to take my glucose test next month. I'm not looking forward to drinking that solution. We'll also have our 3D/4D ultrasound next month. I can't wait to see baby Norah's little face. Next month I start going to the doctor every two weeks. I think that's when it will hit me that the beginning of the end is coming.
We finally began a registery at Target. We registered very quickly, so there isn't a lot on our registery yet. We want time to research products before we officially put them on our wish list.
We're right in the middle of finishing off the bonus room upstairs. The plan is to move the office upstairs, and then we'll make the office into Norah's room. Michael has done most of the work by himself. I hate to play the girl card, but right now it just looks like a lot of boards nailed together to me. I have total faith that Michael knows what he's doing.....because I don't have a clue. I have helped him cut some wood and do some measurements, but this has mainly been his project.
Last week my school kids took the TCAP test. TCAP is the big test that we spend all year preparing for. It's always a stressful week because we all want our kids to do their very best, especially since my paycheck will depend on how well they do now.
We recently had some very special visitors. Michael's sisters came to visit from Michigan/Indiana with their kids during their spring break. I think we all had a great time. While they were here we did a little photo shoot. The weather had been in the 70's all week until it was time to do the girls' pictures. We literally took a few pictures and then ran back to the car to warm up for the next few. Here are some of my favorites.
The weather warmed back up for the boys' pictures. I know how much boys hate to have their pictures made, but Austin and Dakota sucked it up for me and put on a smile :o)
We tried to do something special while each family visited. Michael and I took the girls to the Memphis Zoo and the boys to a Memphis Redbird's game. The girls were cracking me up. They kept complaining about how hot it was.....ha! It was about 85 the day we went to the zoo with very little humidity. Those girls wouldn't make it during a real southern summer. I think the boys enjoyed the ball game. Michael had to work that night, so he couldn't go with us. It was opening day for the season. I just love the baseball season! We left at the top of the eighth inning because I had to work the next day and the Redbird's were down. Here are some pictures from the girls at the zoo. I don't have any pictures of the boys from the ballgame because they were too busy sneaking video of my devouring my cotton candy.
I also did a quick photo shoot for my cousin, Stephanie. She and Seth are getting married at the end of April and needed a picture for the announcement in the paper. The weather was beautiful!!!!.....and so were Steph and Seth!
Aunt Midge asked me if I could take her and Ashton to the zoo during my spring break. Of course, I was more than happy to go since I LOVE the Memphis Zoo. We invited Jamie, Kade, and Kristin to go with us. Ashton and Kade love each other's company. It was St. Patrick's Day. That's why we're all wearing green :o)
People pay a lot of money for expensive toys and all it takes is a few orange cones to entertain these boys.
