Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink

At the beginning of May Arlington had massive amounts of rain in a very short amount of time. The roads were flooded for days. The road leading to our house actually made CNN news.

At 57 seconds you see the road that leads to our house the day after the flooding.

Poor Millington got hit hard! But schools and local businesses raised money and gathered supplies to send to families affected by the flood. We don't live in a flood zone so most people don't have flood insurance. It's a very sad situation.

Luckily for Michael and I, we live on higher ground, so the water didn't get to our house. However, there was a lake in our yard for days.

McDonald's the morning after the flood

This is the BP gas station under water.

We called this McIsland. I bet McDonald's didn't do a lot of business that day.
