Spring has finally sprung! To celebrate our new patio and the warm weather we invited a few friends over to cook out. Michael and Reid did all of the cooking while Natalie, Neighbor Mike, Chris and I visited. It was a great way to bring in the new season!

Chase celebrated his 2nd birthday at the Arlington park, Playground of Dreams. It was a beautiful day for a party. Chase enjoyed hanging out with everyone and seeing all of his friends. Thanks Chase, Jason, and LaShona for inviting me to help celebrate your special day.
About a year ago Michael began this project....
He tore up our back patio to build a bigger, better patio. Well....things didn't go as planned. It wasn't completely his fault because he started flying crazy schedules and it rained every day he was off for a few months. Nevertheless, our backyard stayed like this for almost a whole year!!!
We finally got the patio finished! We still have more work to do on it, but it's nice to be able to walk out the back door now. Michael told me in the beginning that this project wouldn't cost very much money, but he was telling a story. This do it yourself project cost 3 times our original budget, but it is nice.
Michael also began another new project....he created a kegerator. He says it's for B-B-Q fest, but I think he just wanted beer on tap at home. I think beer is yucky, so he can enjoy his new project with all of his guy friends.
My wonderful husband and sister planned a surprise party for my 30th birthday. I was completely surprised too! Michael planned the surprise party at one of my favorite restaurants, Spaghetti Warehouse, the weekend before my actual birthday. I thought we were just going for a normal dinner until I walked in to a packed room with all of my friends and family. It was a wonderful way to enter a new decade!
