Life after surgery

I went to the hospital a week ago for surgery on a torn rotator cuff. It turns out that I just had an internal impingement. The recovery period is much shorter with an impingement so I was very happy to hear the new prognosis. Michael has been a wonderful caregiver! Michael has never been able to be around people vomiting or people getting stuck by needles...until this week. I was sick to my stomach for the first four days after surgery and Michael helped me every time without flinching. He also took the catheter out of my neck Monday. The catheter got stuck in my neck (I was freaking out!), and he was very calm and finally got it out. I had a doctor's appointment Wednesday. Dr. Lonergan took my sling off and set me up for some physical therapy sessions. I go back in three weeks to see him again. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal by then! :o) It's very painful to move right now, and I'm still having trouble getting myself dressed/undressed. I'm a very lucky person to be blessed with so many caring family members and friends. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!
